The Feast is a community-wide celebration of middle school students. The Feast provides supporters with an exclusive experience to connect with middle schoolers and opportunities to give throughout the night. At the same time, students are presented with the opportunity to connect with donors and share their stories.
Our 10th Annual Gala will be at Canal Park in Akron, home of the RubberDucks! Guests will experience a grand slam of delicious food, be inspired by stories of a winning line up of middle schoolers, and empowered to step up to the plate by investing in this important work. No raffle baskets. No silent auctions. We’ll focus on what’s really important—the middle schoolers in our community. |

Frequently Asked Questions
Wait. Didn't we just have a Feast of Ideas?
Why, yes, we did! For our birthday last year, we scheduled the 2022 Feast for September, but this year we are back to our normal Spring Feast schedule!
And it's a 10th Feast again?
Last year was TomTod's 10th birthday, this year is the 10th Annual Feast. So it's like the Feast's birthday, really.
Is this only for Akron people?
Heck no! We're so excited about our continued partnerships in Summit County and want to show Akron some love. But we hope all our Stark County friends make the trek up 77N. All our friends are invited!
Is there a RubberDucks game that night?
The RubberDucks will be away the week of the Feast which means we'll get exclusive access to the ballpark (and parking) that night!
What is the Feast?
The Feast is a community-wide celebration of middle school students. The Feast provides supporters with an exclusive experience to connect with middle schoolers and opportunities to give throughout the night. At the same time, students are presented with the opportunity to connect with donors and share their stories.
What will happen during the event?
In small groups, guests will rotate through stations featuring Community Champions and middle schoolers. Dinner will be in the form of ball park food reimagined with a cash bar available.
Is this a fundraiser?
Yes, indeed! The Feast will feature several opportunities to give or pledge a gift throughout the event. The ticket price helps cover a guest's meal and experience and is not a tax-deductible donation.
What should I wear??
Don't buy a new dress! Don't rent a tux! Your investment in middle schoolers is more important to us. We ask that guests wear "Celebration Attire" that you already have in your closet. That being said, you are welcome to peruse photos from past Feasts to get an idea of what guests will wear.
I can't make it, but can I still give?
Please do! The Feast of Ideas is a celebration of our past and present, and an investment for our future!
