LEARN BY DOING

A 4-day adventure that includes hands-on creator challenges, Field Discovery Labs to local manufacturing businesses, and interviews with manufacturing professionals. At the end of the week, campers construct and share prototypes based on their discoveries with community partners!

Summit Makers is an immersive exploration camp designed just for middle schoolers. If your child is leaving 5th-8th grade this spring and lives in Summit County, this camp is for them!

Camp Explore: Summit Makers is free to middle schoolers and their parents thanks to the generous support and funding from the Rubber Division American Chemical Society.

Is lunch provided?
Yes!

Is transportation available?
Transportation to and from camp is not available.

What should my camper wear?
Campers will be touring local manufacturing companies. Please wear closed-toed shoes and shirts with sleeves for safety!

Can my child attend camp at any of the locations?
Yes! As long as they live in Summit County, campers are eligible to attend one week of Summit Makers camp. Choose the location and week that work best for you.

What if I don’t live in Summit County?

We also offer summer camps for middle schoolers in Stark County. Explore other summer camp options for your middle schooler.
